Taliesin
The original. Born from visits to Taliesin and Taliesin West, where Wright built with the land itself — volcanic rock as walls, canvas as light. Materials name the tokens: obsidian, marigold, saguaro. The land is the language.
Espresso Dopio
Postwar Italian Modernism — the Milanese poster school of Huber, Testa, and Munari, Pirelli ads and Campari red. Poster yellow, black ink at weight 900. Hard edges, hard shadows, zero apology. Nothing rounded, nothing glowing.
La Concha
An imagined digital language for Paul R. Williams, architect to the stars — the curve as hospitality, grandeur made cozy, cove light instead of hard shadow. From Regency estates to the Beverly Hills pink to Googie concrete shells.
Santa Monica
Frank Gehry’s deconstructivism, chain-link house to titanium Bilbao. The container refuses the box: colliding planes, asymmetric curves, seams left visible — one collision per viewport, discipline everywhere else.
End of Print
Early-90s grunge typography — the Ray Gun era’s typographic deconstruction. Type as texture: misregistered plates, torn edges, drifting baselines. Chaos is a headline privilege; the body copy stays quietly readable.
Amistad
Mexico 68 — Wyman and Terrazas' Olympic identity. Everything radiates from the center: concentric echo, color-coded programs, pictograms before words, rosa mexicano vibrating against whitewash.
Monte Carlo
Art Deco motorsport lithographs — Géo Ham and Falcucci’s 1930s Grand Prix posters. Flat plate color, low viewpoints, drawn speed streaks, deco caps stacked like a race card. Speed you can stand still and look at.
Curious Network
A sports design language where tokens trace to physical materials — pitch, kit, terrace, hardwood. Era grounds the typography in real design history; energy sets the shadow. Hard offsets only, no glow anywhere.
Back Nine
From Brothers Who Golf — a movement, not a country club. Course-dark ground, volt green like tournament-Sunday sneakers, championship gold for what’s earned, Oswald scoreboard caps. Golf, brotherhood, mentorship.
One method, many languages
Every system here follows the same discipline: tokens are named after real materials, behavior is derived from real conditions, and the output is a comprehensive markdown spec that any AI coding tool can adopt as the design brain of a project — covering color, typography, spacing, components, motion, voice, and rejection criteria.
